Analysing a Music Video

OK Go - Here It Goes Again
  • Featuring the band dancing on treadmills.
  • The video became a staple on YouTube; it is one of the most watched videos, with over 52 million views.
  • The routine was choreographed by Trish Sie and directed by Sie and the band, it took a total of seventeen attempts to complete the video.
  • OK Go perfrmed the dance live at the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards.
  • The video won the 2007 Grammy Award for Best Short Form Music Video and the 2006 Youtube Awards for Most Creative Video!
The video itself:
One of the band members is seen pointing the remote, the music starts.
The video is a single continuous take with no effects or transitions.
A foil backing paper shows a simple, rather amateur-ish setting.
A band member can be seen lip-singing at occasitional points during the song.
It's simple, effective and was very popular around the world!
